Meditation For Beginners

Don’t just do something, sit there!

This 4-week meditation series on calming the mind is appropriate for anyone, regardless of religious or cultural orientation, who is interested in learning how to meditate in a secular format. Mindful awareness meditation draws on the wisdom of ancient meditation traditions as well as neuroscience to train the mind to be calm, focused, attentive, flexible, and efficient.

Each session includes basic meditation instructions, guided meditations, tips for daily practice and ways to bring mindfulness into everyday life. This series is being offered by Amy Reyer, Ph.D., Mindfulness Educator and Meditation Practice Leader from the Hudson Valley Meditation Community.

Suggested donation -$20 per class
