Columbus Day 5-hour Kid/Teen Workshop

We are delighted to collaborate with Groovy on Grand for this special Columbus Day workshop! Students will make pumpkin-spice truffles & apple crisp at TOTK and a 2′ large apple pillow at Groovy on Grand!
SEW WHAT’S COOKING for Kids and Teens is a 5-hour, 2-location collaborative cooking & sewing class, where students will chop, slice, learn, bake, sketch, sew, and stud & stitch. You will leave with loads of new skills, two baked items and a stuffed pillow.
Students will start at the Organic Teaching Kitchen for the cooking portion, and then walk to Groovy on Grand– for the sewing portion. Students will each take home a mini Apple-crisp pie, a box of truffles and a giant red or green apple reading-pillow!
On Monday, October 12, 2015: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. $90.00 per student for the 5-hour workshop; all ingredients, fabric and supplies included, except lunch. Please bring a bagged lunch. ($15.00 additional if you need to use a Groovy on Grand sewing machine for the day).
Students must bring their own sewing machines to work on. (Sewing machines must be standard-size and in good working order. Machine cannot be a Lil’ Stitch-n-Sew, nor any similar small, starter machine for this heavy sewing project.)
If student, does not have a sewing machine to sew on, they can use a Groovy on Grand machine for the 1-day workshop (at an additional $15.00 fee- as less students can now enroll). Two students max will share each Groovy on Grand sewing machine.
Workshop is geared to students ages 9 through 16! (Students will be grouped by age groups in the studio)
