Commit to Eating Clean
People frequently ask me what is clean eating? Eating Clean is simply consuming food in its most natural state. It’s about giving your body the best fuel (food) to keep it running like a fine tuned machine. It’s not about following a diet, counting calories or weight loss, though that can be one of the benefits,
Eating Clean is a deceptively simple concept. It starts with buying fresh foods at the market that are minimally processed or unprocessed. Whole foods need little preparation to make them satisfying.
What you eat creates the foundation for every cell in your body. Clean Eating will transform your life by keeping your digestive system regular, improving your physical energy, improving your ability to think and focus, reduce cravings and enable you to sleep better
My 10 steps to start you eating clean in 2015:
- Purge your cabinets and fridge – Ditch foods made with artificial additives; flavors, coloring, preservatives.
- Replace packaged goods, from salad dressings to granola bars, with a homemade version.
- When out shopping, read the ingredient list before you put it in your wagon.
- Rethink your drink – Drink water, avoid sugary soda, pasteurized orange juice, apple juice, diet drinks etc.
- Steer clear of genetically modified foods (GMO’s)
- Avoid foods treated with hormones & antibiotics
- Eat more fresh vegetables & fresh fruit.
- Replace white flour with whole grain flour.
